Hi!

I’m happy to see you on our page – ours meaning mine and my dogs’. Well, more my dogs’ than mine, really 😉

I’m not a breeder. Just an owner – an enthusiast. A bit of a maniac 😉 My dogs are working kelpies, Australian herding dogs. Smart, brave, and absolutely brilliant at stock work. Demanding, too. They need work, tasks, mental challenges – and plain physical exhaustion. They love movement, vast stretches of land, and meaningful work. And once they’ve had all that, they won’t say no to a comfy couch 🙂

Why did they end up in my life? I used to have a polish hunting dog, Una, with whom I trained agility. I wanted another dog – one that could compete seriously in size category L. And one that wouldn’t be a Border Collie 🙂 A friend sent me a photo of these upright-eared Australian beauties, and I fell head over heels. Not long after, Raca came into my life – my first kelpie. She had everything you’d want in a great agility dog: perfect build, speed, agility, jumping power. But she lacked one crucial thing – healthy eyes. Raca had PRA…

Still, it was clear to me that my next dog would be another working kelpie. I wanted one like Raca – a small female. And that’s how Tammi – a big boy – arrived under my roof 😀 Too big to become an agility superstar. But he was the one who showed me sheep herding for the first time. And well, we were hooked… So my next little girl (a bigger success than Tammi, at least she’s a girl! though not exactly small 😉) comes from a strong herding line. And she herds phe-no-me-nally.
