Tammi came into my life spontaneously. My heart was torn to pieces after losing Una – my polish hunting dog – when I saw a Facebook post with a bowl full of kelpie pups. And somehow, I instantly knew that one of those pups had to be mine 🙂 And he is 🙂 Even though I had been hoping for a girl – preferably a small one, like my little Raca…

Tammi was born in Finland, so his name comes from the language of his birthplace – Tammi means “oak” in Finnish. And since it was clear he wouldn’t be a small female , at least let him be strong as an oak  as we say in Polish, a man like an oak tree: solid, dependable, and full of quiet strength. Beautiful, powerful, and someone I can rely on. My best friend. Mommy’s boy. Loves being the center of my attention. Ready to do anything with me. Eager for every activity I suggest. Full of enthusiasm.

Too big and not quite agile enough for “serious” agility – but always wholehearted and passionate about training. More focused than fast. A talented herder. He was the one who took me to sheep herding for the first time – and we were hooked, because he’s got talent. He’s truly good at it, and I’m always impressed when a dog just knows what to do.

A cuddly boy who takes every chance to lie right next to me. Or on me 🙂 A dog with no concept of personal space 🙂 He’s adorable, intelligent, addicted to work and tasks, and loves running and open space. When he entered my life, he turned out to be exactly the dog I needed at that moment. Sweet, wonderful, and easy.
